I find coding HTML to be relaxing. To just sit here and code and not think about anything else. Listening to some lofi music. CSS isn’t as relaxing; however, realizing what CSS can do is fascinating. With coding, it’s predictable. You write a line of code, and the computer or browser will execute it the same way each time. If you create an error, the computer will say so. Yes, there are times when I get frustrated, especially when I’m having trouble finding an answer to a problem. But overall, I see coding as a way to relax and concentrate. Of course, my ADHD and anxiety get in the way of concentrating for long periods. That is primarily why I sometimes take a break and write here.
I was going to bring my Kindle to read during my lunch break, but I was afraid I would keep reading and not return to work. I’m reading The Hating Game. I feel like I’m on a romance novel kick. My following books to read will be from my GoodReads ‘currently reading’ list so I can finish those books. Do I like The Hating Game? Sort of. The main characters can be a bit annoying. The main protagonist is only 5 feet tall and it is talked about throughout the whole book. How small she is and how big the guy is compared to her. I’m 4’11 and don’t go around comparing my height to everyone. You are smaller than average. I get it. And the book is predictable. I already know the main characters will get together at the end. It’s those enemies-to-lovers trope. They never hated each other to begin with. This book has been made into a movie. I wonder how the movie is compared to the book.
The sun finally came out. As much as I like cloudy skies, seeing the sun is nice. Kids are taking pics of each other and their Starbucks drinks in the library. Haha. Yes, I’m in the library today. Alex and Jay are at the house, and they aren’t the quietest kids. So I decided to come here.
I should get back to coding…
