It’s Monday, and I spent all day coding one function. One. That’s all. That was my day. Reading about JavaScript and doing a lot of Googling, I have discovered that many people aren’t crazy about JavaScript. I read that JS has quirks that other languages don’t have. I don’t know JS well enough to know what those quirks are. The only thing that comes to mind when I hear ‘quirks’ is My Hero Academia. So far, I like JS. It doesn’t seem that hard, but I have much difficulty when we don’t have many instructions. But I just started too. I think there are two stages of learning JS: learn it as a procedural language with some stuff you don’t quite get, then realize it has a more profound, more expressive side. I like that JS is widely supported.
Alex is home today. His allergies are bad, though he is feeling better now.
Karissa bought a new mattress. The mattress is so lovely. She says it’s like sleeping on a hotel mattress. I’m not sure what hotel she has been sleeping at, but from my experience, hotel mattresses have been hard. She got new sheets as well. Her room smells nicer now. She has had her old mattress since we lived in our townhouse. That’s when she was five.
I’m letting my nails grow so they have some length when I get my manicure. My nails are sharp. Have they always been this sharp?
The cruise is getting closer! I’m excited. My poor girl. She is excited but nervous about the flight and being on a boat. She has never been on a plane or a ship before. Or a train, and I believe we will also be on a train—so many new things for her. I hope she has fun. Tommy and Kel will be drinking. I don’t think I will. Maybe one. I don’t like being buzzed or drunk. The loss of control is complete anxiety for me.
