Today, I spent time coding in CSS and HTML, which was quite enjoyable. CSS can be challenging to grasp. I’m getting better at working with GitHub and Visual Studio Code. I want to watch a GitHub Fundamentals online event this Thursday and Friday. As part of my practice, I created a simple recipe website, which you can check at https://desertkitten.github.io/odin-recipes/. I added some CSS to the site by adjusting the background to green and the text color to grey.
Unfortunately, last night, my computer decided to stop booting up. It caught me by surprise, as it was working just fine yesterday during the day. So now my computer tower is sitting on the dining room table while I use my laptop.
I also watched Everest today. Chris went to his school’s library to study, as he’s taking math classes online during the summer. Although Everest was distracting, I still accomplished quite a bit today. Lexi made lunch for Karissa and me today, which was nice. It was good for me because I had no clue what I would eat for lunch.
The weather is nice and mild, though a bit windy. I feel like I should write more, but I’m unsure what to write about. I feel I should have more to say. I keep looking at Everest, who is sleeping, so I can take her outside. She can’t stay outside because she keeps getting out of the yard. There is a slat in the gate that she can squeeze through. Merlin is too big to fit through the gate, so he can’t leave the yard.
Our cruise is coming soon, and I need to make a packing list. So here is a quick list:

Miscellaneous
Binoculars?: For scenic views and wildlife spotting.
Laundry Bag: For dirty clothes.
Other stuff
Roll Your Clothes: Saves space and reduces wrinkles. I’d like to try a packing cube.
Layering: Pack items that can be layered for different weather conditions.
Mix and Match: Choose versatile pieces that can be worn multiple ways.
Pack a Carry-On Bag: I have my backpack but I fear that it may be too small. Nah, it’s a good size. It can fit my laptop, headphones and wallet.
