Today, I participated in a course on Git Fundamentals. The session focused on GitHub and Git usage. GitHub is a cloud-based platform that facilitates code storage, management, and collaboration for developers. It leverages Git, an open-source version control system, to enable concurrent file or code modification by multiple individuals. It was an engaging session. The next session is scheduled for tomorrow at the same time. Today’s study session covered HTML block elements, inline elements, and flex boxes.
As my birthday approaches next week, I realize I haven’t given it much thought. When Tommy asked me what I wanted for my birthday, I found myself at a loss. After some consideration, I think what I truly want for my birthday is for my computer to work properly. For my cake, I’m thinking of a lemon-strawberry cake. And street tacos for my birthday dinner. With corn on the cob and beans. I also look forward to making homemade salsa, guacamole, and perhaps pico de gallo.
Aging can indeed feel strange, especially when the passage of time doesn’t seem to correspond with how we feel inside. I’m experiencing a disconnect between my chronological age and my internal sense of self. As I grow older, I plan to prioritize eating healthily and maintaining a consistent workout routine, which is increasingly important.
Last night at 9:30, our power finally came back on. Tommy managed to get the propane lanterns working, and we all gathered outside for a chat. When the lights returned, the kids immediately headed back indoors. We asked the girls to put away the chairs, and then we all made our way inside. Earlier in the evening, Tommy and I had gone to Walmart to buy mantles for the propane lantern, and we noticed that most of our town had already regained power. An employee at Walmart mentioned that many people had come in to purchase supplies due to the power outage. It’s funny how a power outage reminds us of the importance of having flashlights and candles on hand!
Alexis has an eye appointment tomorrow. Kel is taking her since she, Karissa and Alexis are going birthday shopping. I’m one of those birthdays so I wasn’t invited to go out. Lol.
