I usually don’t dwell on the fact that I’m short. It’s just one aspect of who I am and often a minor detail in my daily life. But there are moments when it really stands out. Because our car was in for servicing, Kel was driving her dad’s truck. Although we got our car back on Tuesday, we hadn’t returned the truck yet. Today, I had to take Alex to work only three minutes away. Kel and Chris were away. So Alex drove to Walmart. After dropping off Alex at Walmart, I needed to drive back home. However, when I got into the driver’s seat, I realized that the seat didn’t adjust much. I tried lowering the steering wheel, but I still felt so small in the truck. I could barely see over the steering wheel and couldn’t reach the pedals. I sat there for twenty minutes debating whether I should wait for Kel and Chris to get home or attempt to drive the truck myself. Ultimately, I decided to try it and perched on the edge of the seat to reach the pedals. I managed to make it home.
So that was my adventure today, and now I’m working on coding an etch-a-sketch. Currently, it’s just a big square on the page, which is frustrating. I’m feeling hungry, but there are no snacks in the house. I’m debating whether to make a small snack or wait until dinner. I’ve had some of my daughter’s candy, but that isn’t filling.
Tomorrow is my audiology appointment and I need $80. /sigh
On another note, I need a small file container to store these health papers on my desk. They take up a lot of room and need a home. Maybe I’ll look on Amazon. Something like this in pink or green, or maybe the black one. But now is not the time to buy stuff. We need to save for the cruise. 🙂
