The weather feels hot today, although it’s only 82 degrees outside, which seems mild considering the 100-degree temperatures my friends are facing. I’m progressing with my Etch-a-Sketch project and using CodePen online to test my code. I’ve changed the code on Github, but the updated version isn’t showing in the browser. Despite Github recognizing the updates, I’m encountering difficulties with the display in the browser.
In other news, Microsoft experienced a nationwide outage due to a faulty update from CrowdStrike. This is why you never push an update on a Friday. Now they have to work through the weekend. This outage affected Microsoft’s cloud services globally, causing disruptions for businesses, including airlines and banks. Tommy mentioned that the outage is hindering his work. Hopefully, they will resolve this issue soon.
Kel and I visited the store earlier to pick up some side dishes for tonight’s dinner, including fish tacos. I inquired about Alexis’s medications, but they hadn’t shown up in the system yet. I’ve noticed before that prescriptions take a few days to process. I hope the Microsoft outage hasn’t caused the delay. We also stopped by the mailbox, but we were too early. We will recheck it later.
I had a therapy session today. I completely forgot about it, but thankfully, I remembered at 12:30 that I had a session scheduled for an hour later. Opening up and discussing my week and emotions during the session was challenging. The therapist suggested that I try to open up when I’m at a friend’s house on Sunday. The thought is daunting, but I’m willing to try it. Although I may struggle, I am determined to make the effort.
I should get to making a couple of sauces for the fish tacos tonight. Next Sunday, not this coming one, we are going to see a few movies. Maybe we will get some popcorn! I doubt that, however. I should get going now.
