The current weather is reminiscent of a moody teenager – not entirely sunny, yet not fully embracing a gloomy, overcast day. It’s as if the weather can’t make up its mind. Similarly, today feels warm but windy, with the sun hesitantly peeking out from behind the clouds, reluctant to make a commitment to shining brightly.
I’m experiencing heartburn, so I plan to brew a soothing hot tea to help alleviate it shortly.
I inadvertently nudged O’Malley while I was sitting at my desk. He was napping under it, and I totally forgot he was there. Thankfully, he just went back to sleep after I moved my foot. We’re still delving into CSS in our coding sessions. Today was good overall. Coding is like conjuring a language to communicate instructions to computers – it’s like crafting magic spells with logic and structure. The thing is, I struggle with understanding logic and structure at times, although I do enjoy working with fonts and typography, which we’re focusing on right now.
The trip is rapidly approaching, and I’m really looking forward to it. I’ve decided to bring my laptop so I can journal while I’m away. I want to document my experiences in real-time rather than trying to recall details weeks later.
Yesterday, I learned how to play Magic: the Gathering, a really fun card game. I won against Tommy once, but he beat me twice. On Saturday, we helped Alexis move back into her dorm at school. After getting her settled in, we realized we hadn’t planned to spend the night, so we made the three-hour drive back home, getting in around 10 p.m.
I can’t remember what we’re having for dinner tonight, but I remember our sides! Funny how that works. 😄
Some pictures:
Alexis. We stopped for a snack on our way to her university.
Alexis. I took another pic of her in the truck. Lol
Tommy and I stopped to take a pic of the pretty sky on our way back home.
Home. I thought the night sky was pretty.
