Last night, I had trouble sleeping due to congestion and a persistent cough, which kept me awake from 1:30 to 6 am. I waited an appropriate hour to get up, so I finally got up at 6 am to start the day. After getting ready, Tommy joined me for breakfast at 7 am while Kel continued to sleep in. I got the Mexican omelet. They said it would be spicy. Spoiler: it wasn’t spicy. I expected that. Although we’re at sea today, we had the opportunity to visit Glacier Bay and admire some breathtaking glaciers. I’m glad the sea is much smoother today.
Tommy and I visited the International Cafe after breakfast and spent some time there. Kel later joined us, and when it was time for lunch, we all went out to the deck to enjoy the view of the glaciers and have our meal. I opted for a slice of pizza. Despite the cold, we stayed out there for a while. Many of us, including Tommy, caught sight of a mother bear and her two cubs, although they were too small for me to see. Kel went inside to find a warmer place to sit while Tommy and I ate some ice cream as a snack. Now, we’re all back in our room. Tommy is busy editing some pictures, Kel is watching TV, and I’m catching up on writing and browsing Facebook.
After taking some Sudafed, my energy level is relatively low. I’m experiencing a bit of a headache, and my nose won’t stop running. Although I still feel under the weather, I’m not feeling too terrible. Kel and I have scheduled pedicures at the ship’s spa for Sunday evening.
I’m looking forward to dining at the Crab Shack on the ship tonight. Earlier, we attended a Glacier Bay talk, where the park rangers delivered a speech and answered questions. Afterward, Tommy and I returned to our room as I wasn’t feeling well and needed to take some medicine. After about an hour, we made our way to the Crab Shack for dinner. The dinner was delightful, consisting of crab legs, lobster, mussels, clams, and shrimp. For dessert, I enjoyed a delicious strawberry shortcake. We had to wear this big bib for our dinner. It was pretty funny.
After dinner, Tommy and I went to our room because we were both feeling under the weather. We took our medicine and prepared our CPAP machines for bed. Kel went downstairs to have a drink and then returned to the room. I’m planning to watch a few videos before going to bed.
Tomorrow, we will be in Skagway.
