The disembarkation process was efficient and well-organized. I woke up at 7 am and prepared for the day. We had placed our bags outside our room the previous night, so we were already packed, carrying only a few small bags and backpacks. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast in the main dining room at 8 am, where I ordered French toast and bacon. After breakfast, we returned to our room to double-check our belongings and waited for our scheduled disembarkation time. Once called, we went to the main dining room, where we sat down and waited for our turn to depart. We proceeded to the terminal to collect our luggage upon leaving the ship. Remarkably, our taxi accommodated all our luggage despite its size. We then took the taxi to our hotel, the one we had stayed at when we first arrived in Vancouver.
We arrived at the hotel before check-in time and spent some time in the lobby. I ended up dozing off while waiting. After getting our room, Tommy and I headed to Burger King to grab lunch. Tommy isn’t a big fan of Burger King, but there were only a few other dining options nearby. Both Tommy and Kel are napping while I’m relaxing and watching videos.
After taking a brief nap, I still feel a little congested and have a lingering cough, but I’m definitely better than yesterday. This evening, Tommy and I walked to Costco to grab a large pizza, which we brought back to the hotel. I miss the convenience of the food service on the ship, where you could order anything and have it brought right to you. Two weeks of leisure on the ship has made me a bit lazy. It’s been a wonderful vacation, allowing me to unwind and not worry about daily concerns. I’m sad to see our vacation end. Nevertheless, I’m looking forward to heading home; I miss the kids and our pets.
We’ll stay here in Vancouver tomorrow, and on Friday morning, we’ll fly back home.
