As the calendar flips to October, there’s a noticeable shift in the air. After weeks of lingering summer warmth, next week promises the kind of cool-down that truly signals Fall’s arrival. Leaves are just starting to hint at their colorful transformation, and the mornings have that fresh, invigorating chill that makes you want to spend a little extra time under the blankets. It’s a perfect reminder that Fall is more than just a season—it’s a feeling.
I’m looking to revisit some anime I haven’t watched in a while, and I need to compile a list of them on myanimelist.net. I’m using Tommy’s list to help me since the anime I’ve watched is on his list. Last weekend was quite pleasant. Tommy worked on his computer, and it’s almost up and running to his liking. I can sense it. Once the computer is fully functional, we can focus on organizing the garage to reclaim our workout space. I’d like to start working out again.
I had chorizo and eggs for lunch, but it turned out to be a bad idea as it ended up hurting my stomach. Surprisingly, even though I had only a small amount of chorizo, I didn’t expect it to have such a strong effect. My stomach has been feeling better lately, so today’s reaction was unexpected. I skipped breakfast this morning and only ate during lunch, but I don’t think that contributed to the discomfort. If anything, I thought my stomach would be less sensitive at lunchtime.
I decided to charge my Nintendo Switch. I’ve noticed that my Switch charger won’t charge my Switch. However, I used another cable to charge it, and that worked. My Switch charger can charge other things. Right now my Switch charger is charging my laptop.
I am currently learning CSS in coding. With so many properties to remember, I am grateful for the existence of Google. It seems impossible to memorize all the properties in CSS. Life before Google seems like a distant memory in today’s fast-paced, information-driven world. Before we could simply “Google it,” finding answers meant flipping through encyclopedias, asking friends, or making a trip to the library. Research took time and patience, often requiring sifting through books or card catalogs just to find a small piece of information.
In the past, getting lost was a common occurrence. Road maps were the primary source of directions, and asking a stranger for help was often the best solution when taking a wrong turn. Making purchases required physically visiting stores and comparing options in person.
Despite the absence of instant information, there was a certain deliberateness about those times. It was an era when curiosity lingered a little longer, and answers were pursued with a bit more effort. While Google has undoubtedly revolutionized convenience, there’s a nostalgic appeal to the slower, more exploratory approach to learning from the pre-Google days.
Tommy has had a heck of a Monday. “Monday on steroids,” he said. Monday is the day that coffee needs coffee before I do.
