I completed my Christmas cards! Tommy had quite a bit of urgency, insisting that the cards needed to be mailed out today. So he was the one who pushed us to get the cards mailed off. This morning, Kel and I finished up the cards and headed to the post office. Alexis joined us since she had some items to mail as well. Kel stood in the separate line designated for package pickups.
We then made our way to the local coffee shop, as Lexi wanted to stop by. She ordered a coffee and a danish. Afterward, we visited Walmart, where Lexi needed to buy bed sheets since she had been sleeping on her mattress without any sheets; her actual bedding was still in her dorm. Lastly, we checked the mailbox and collected the mail from yesterday, although today’s mail had not yet arrived.
Finally, I’m sitting down and coding. We are learning transforms in CSS. In CSS, transforms are used to manipulate the position, size, and orientation of elements on a 2D or 3D plane without changing their layout in the document flow. The transform property allows you to apply transformations like rotating, scaling, translating, or skewing an element.
Syntax:
selector { transform: transform-function(value);
}
I’m still a bit confused by it, but I’m sure I’ll understand it soon enough.
I just had some lunch—leftover green chile stew. I’m feeling quite full at the moment. Even though I didn’t eat much, it’s a bit uncomfortable. I skipped breakfast this morning, but I’m satisfied until dinner later.
Lexi just came in to borrow a pen and attempted to write on my hand. When the pen wouldn’t work, she started grabbing more pens to try writing on my arm, but none of them seemed to function. She declared that I was “pen-proof,” which clearly frustrated her. Shortly after, Karissa came in to share that she would have to wait longer to eat because she had made rice but forgot to turn on the rice cooker. Poor girl.
It’s much later now, and I still feel somewhat confused about CSS Transforms. However, I hope that some practice will help clarify things for me. Perhaps I can find a video to assist with that. Lexi returned and mentioned that her obsession with stationery was due to me, jokingly stating, “It’s like a genetic thing.” I suppose it’s likely that I influenced her interest in stationery, even though I never specifically talked about it with her. Still, she does occasionally ask to use my stationery.
I believe I have finalized the Christmas menu, so now I need to put together a shopping list. We’ve made some progress on Christmas gifts, but I’m concerned because I haven’t picked out a gift for Karissa yet. She mentioned wanting hoodies and socks, which is fine, but I feel like there should be something more. I tend to stress about these things. Anyway, I’ll post this now and start working on that Christmas shopping list.
