We are currently diving further into our understanding of web accessibility in coding, particularly focusing on WAI-ARIA. WAI-ARIA, which stands for the Web Accessibility Initiative’s Accessible Rich Internet Applications specification, aims to enhance the accessibility of web content when traditional HTML falls short. Often referred to simply as ARIA, this specification provides guidelines for creating more inclusive web experiences.
We have snow today, and the temperature outside is 24 degrees Fahrenheit, or -4 degrees Celsius. I had to look up the Celsius conversion. I have therapy later and should be getting ready for that now. I still haven’t eaten lunch, as I’m struggling to decide what I want. So, I opted to make myself some hot tea. However, when I went to boil the water in the kettle, I thought it was plugged in and waited for the water to boil. After a bit I found that it was unplugged. I’m still waiting for the water to heat up. Kel used the kettle this morning, so I assumed it was still plugged in, but it turns out that Alexis unplugged it to plug in the milk frother.
Therapy went well today. We discussed my persistent anxiety that often resurfaces at the end of the day. I frequently feel this overwhelming sense that something needs to be accomplished, yet I’m unsure of what to do, all while my mind is in panic mode. My therapist suggested that I take my “as needed” anxiety medication and recommended that I take note of how I’m feeling during those moments. Maybe as time goes on I won’t need the medication to calm my mind. Right now, I’m experiencing feelings of dread and a lack of control. I think I should take my medication now; perhaps that will help.
I’ve taken my medication, and I’m hopeful it will kick in soon. We’ve also changed our dinner plans for tonight; we’ll be having leftovers from last night since I prepared a large batch of chicken for sandwiches. Tomorrow, Tommy has band practice, so we’ll just figure out our own meals. On Friday, we’re planning to have carne adovada and beans. I also need to check in about whether we’re heading down to Lexi’s school on Friday or Saturday, and I believe her computer needs to be set up.
