It’s extremely cold outside. I went to the store earlier this morning, and the temperature was just 6 degrees. Lexi just texted me about the chilly weather, and I’m concerned about her staying warm. Some might find it amusing, but I can’t help but worry about my girls.
Therapy was lengthy today. I had originally thought my appointment was at 1:30. Still, it turns out it was actually scheduled for 2:30. Normally, our sessions last about an hour, but since we were conducting my six-month assessment today, we went over time by ten minutes. We’re not finished with the assessment yet; we’ll need to continue it next week. Discussing specific traumas can be quite triggering at times, making the assessment challenging.
On another note, my desk is broken. It’s leaning, and I’m unsure how long it will hold up. Last night, we moved it to access the outlet in the back, and when Tommy put it back in place, one side came off, causing the drawers to fall out. I had to remove everything from my desk and set it on the dining room table. I feel exposed to having my belongings out like that; although I have nothing to hide, I prefer my things to be in their designated space.
I momentarily forgot that it was Tuesday, mistakenly thinking it was Wednesday. I’m not entirely sure why I had that impression. Sandy is currently lounging on my desk, which seems to handle the weight of my cat just fine. At about 8 pounds, she doesn’t add much weight. I’m being cautious not to place any additional weight on the desk at the moment. I’m glad I can still use my computer here; all I have on my desk now is the monitor, keyboard, mouse, and two small speakers. It has a very minimalistic feel to it. Lol.
