I’m enjoying these JavaScript exercises; they are enhancing my understanding of the language. However, I often find myself Googling explanations for why certain things are written the way they are in JavaScript. I’m not sure if that makes sense, but I generally prefer to understand the reasoning behind a function’s behavior. When I seek help online, it seems like Google primarily provides the answer without much context, which isn’t always beneficial.
This past weekend was quite pleasant. On Saturday, we went to Smith’s and Walmart for dinner and some Super Bowl shopping. Tommy was still feeling a bit under the weather, so I didn’t press him about exercising. I mentioned today that we could work out when he’s home from work since he’s on the mend. Tommy took care of the loose screws on the smoker so he can prepare the roast for the Super Bowl. After that, we spent some time on the computer until it was time to make dinner. I must say, grinding for orange gathering scrips in FFXIV is nearly the bane of my existence! We put the roast in the oven before bed to finish cooking.
The following morning, we discovered that the oven wouldn’t stay on for extended periods; it automatically shut off after a while. As a result, we had to quickly turn it back on to finish cooking the roast before heading over to our friend’s house for the Super Bowl. We spent some time playing board games before the game began, enjoyed bratwurst for lunch, and indulged in a variety of snacks. We had the roast for dinner during halftime. Since neither of our teams was playing, we weren’t particularly rooting for anyone, although we did have a mild preference for the Eagles to win.
The halftime show was decent, but I had to later watch it on YouTube to fully hear the performance. Initially, I thought the sound issues were due to my hearing aids, but I later read that the sound quality on TV wasn’t great and was much better on YouTube. Surprisingly, my hearing aids died by the end of the day, despite having been charged the night before. They’re loaner hearing aids, so their quality may not be the best. However, I’m looking forward to receiving my new hearing aids on Thursday.
In the end, the Eagles emerged victorious in the Super Bowl, showcasing a strong performance. We left shortly after the game concluded and arrived home around 9:30 PM, at which point I prepared Tommy’s lunch for the following day.
I’m heading to the kitchen to grab some lunch. I’m still trying to decide what to eat, but I was considering the leftover roast from last night. However, Tommy mentioned that we’ll be having the roast for dinner, so I can’t have it for lunch. Now I’m not quite sure what to eat, lol. I keep forgetting I have therapy today; it’s Monday, and I usually go on Wednesdays. Unfortunately, my therapist isn’t available then, and I can’t make it tomorrow, so today it is.
I have two appointments scheduled for tomorrow, and I didn’t intend to double-book my day. When I scheduled one of them, I didn’t check my Google calendar. One appointment is at 11:15, and the other is at 3. It’s manageable but definitely frustrating.
I’m not a fan of the late-day anxiety I experience daily. It can be quite exasperating. I’m going to post this and maybe make myself some matcha tea.
