I have an appointment later today, so I thought I’d take a moment to write early. Today, I’ll be tackling more JavaScript problems, including figuring out the prime number function. Interestingly, I approached my routine in reverse today. Typically, I complete my morning routine, shower, and take my medications before having breakfast; however, today I had breakfast first. While it was enjoyable, I found myself feeling anxious and eager to finish so I could shower. This change in my routine might not have been as pleasant as I anticipated, as it ultimately heightened my anxiety.
I also read about the next port on my cruise itinerary. I’m going through the ports in the order of their stops, and the next one is Invergordon, Scotland. Invergordon is a small town in the Scottish Highlands, on the northeastern coast along the Cromarty Firth. Here are a few interesting details about Invergordon:
Deep-Water Port: Invergordon has a natural deep-water port, making it a key stop for cruise ships traveling to the Scottish Highlands. The town often welcomes visitors exploring nearby attractions like Loch Ness and Inverness.
Naval History: The town played an important role in Britain’s naval history. It was home to a Royal Navy base during both World Wars and was the site of the 1931 “Invergordon Mutiny,” a major protest by sailors against pay cuts.
Oil Rig Industry: Invergordon is known for its connection to the North Sea oil industry, with many oil rigs being serviced and maintained at the port.
Street Murals: The town features a series of large, colorful murals depicting its history, culture, and people. These murals are a popular attraction for visitors.
Whisky Distillery: Invergordon has a grain whisky distillery, producing whisky that is often used in blended Scotch.
Scenic Beauty: The surrounding area is known for its stunning Highland landscapes, with opportunities for wildlife spotting, and exploring historical sites.
I believe Kel is on her way back home now from her father’s house. After that, she’s planning to take Merlin for a bath. Our local store has a designated area where you can wash your dog, so she’s getting Merlin cleaned up since he’ll be going to work with Tommy tomorrow.
Merlin has had his bath and is still a bit damp. He’s currently lying on a blanket in Karissa’s room, happily chewing on a new bone. We’re likely to leave in about 45 minutes to head to the Costco Hearing Aid Center.
I finished my prime function. Here it is:
function isPrime(n) { if (n < 2) return false; for (let i = 2; i <= Math.sqrt(n); i++) { if (n % i === 0) { return false; } } return true; }
I had to look up some help on it, but now I understand it and have verified that it works! We're leaving soon, and I'm excited to have my hearing aids back. The loaners were decent, but they aren't mine. I haven't received a call from the pharmacy today; I’ll probably hear from them tomorrow. Kel says it’s time to go, so I’ll be back shortly.
It’s much later now, and I have my new hearing aids! They work wonderfully. Kel and I came home and prepared dinner, and Tommy arrived later. I plan to watch YouTube and play a video game now.
