I’m currently working on a JavaScript function to duplicate values from an array and return a new array. Tommy provided me with some useful advice, so I hope to gain a better understanding of this.
After some research, I discovered that JavaScript has a `Set()` method designed specifically to remove duplicate values from an array. Now, I just need to figure out how to use this method. Since `Set()` returns a collection of unique values, I can convert it back to an array using either the spread operator (`…`) or `Array.from()`. This seems straightforward; I just need to understand how to implement it all within a function.
Here’s what I have:
function removeDuplicates(arr) { return [...new Set(arr)]; }
I’m planning to continue working on these functions before getting some lunch. I have an hour until then, but I’m already quite hungry. I’m considering eating now and returning to the tasks afterward. I’m in the mood for a tamale and some beans. I’m trying to stick to my usual portion sizes, as I tend to eat more during my period when my appetite increases. I’m hopeful that by eating normally, I won’t feel too hungry later.
Last night, I had two tamales and two servings of beans because I was quite hungry. Today, I managed to eat one tamale and a serving of beans, but I couldn’t finish my tamale. My appetite seems a bit unpredictable. Typically, I find it hard to finish all my food as I get full quite easily, but during my period, I can eat significantly more.
As the day progresses, I don’t have much to discuss at the moment. I’m looking forward to visiting the zoo tomorrow and seeing all the animals. Kel picked up my medication for me, and I’m a bit anxious about what I need to put in my ear. I’ve also been contemplating dying my hair since I’m getting tired of the bleached blond look, especially as my hair is growing out. I want to get a haircut first, though, I don’t want to cut it too short, but I’d like much of the bleached hair off.
Our next stop on the cruise is Le Havre, France. From there, you can visit Normandy or take a train for a few hours to see Paris. I’m uncertain about our plans for that day. I’d love to visit Versailles, but exploring Normandy would also be fascinating.
This will be our last full stop before we head to London, where we will disembark. I’m feeling both excited and a bit anxious about the trip. I can’t quite pinpoint why I feel this way, as it is somewhat overwhelming. Nevertheless, I know it will be enjoyable. I suppose I might just be fretting over minor details.
It’s getting quite late now, and darkness is settling in. I’m feeling a bit anxious. Everyone should be home soon, yet the anxiety persists. I plan to take my anxiety medication and prepare some hot tea; hopefully, that will help. I also need to think about what I’ll make for dinner. Tommy will be at band practice, so he won’t be here for dinner. Kel and the boys should be home shortly. I believe we’re fending for ourselves tonight.
