I’m feeling a bit puzzled by my coding assignment. I’m working on creating a Roman numeral converter, and while I’ve made progress with the HTML and the initial JavaScript, I’ve hit a roadblock with the converter itself. I’ve been spending a lot of time researching and problem-solving, and it’s actually quite enjoyable, like solving a puzzle.
With summer on the horizon and rising temperatures, I appreciate the warmth but prefer not to stay in the sun for too long. We’re still waiting for the landlord to get the swamp cooler up and running. Though I’m not a big fan of the swamp cooler making the house too cold, that’s what sweaters are for. I don’t even have the AC on in the office.
Last Friday marked Alex’s graduation. It’s astounding to think that all four kids have graduated from high school. The rest of the weekend was quite enjoyable. We headed to Red Robin on Saturday night to celebrate Alex’s graduation and Karissa’s birthday. We saved Karissa’s cake for last night, and Tom prepared a delicious meal of steak, corn on the cob, and asparagus.
I have a therapy session scheduled for tomorrow, and I’m considering discussing my dad. This Friday marks the anniversary of his passing, and I miss him. Last Thursday, I unexpectedly found myself in Tom’s truck for my therapy session because I had forgotten about it after attending the high school BBQ. We ended up at Kel’s parents’ house, and I had my session in the truck.
I’m eagerly looking forward to our upcoming cruise to the British Isles next year. I find it challenging to express my gratitude for this upcoming trip. Expressing myself has always been difficult for me. I’ve always dreamed of visiting London, and I’m also excited to explore Ireland and France. I’ve been to France before, but I would love to revisit it. But first, we have the cruise to Alaska in three months. I can’t wait! It’s going to be so much fun!
I recently completed reading “Fourth Wing,” a captivating fantasy novel centered around a military academy that trains young individuals to become dragon riders. The story is well-paced, although the romantic elements are cringeworthy. The conclusion left me eager to delve into the second book, as it sparked my curiosity. The narrative exudes a vibe reminiscent of “The Hunger Games,” I’ve heard rumors about a potential TV series adaptation, although I’m not particularly intrigued by that prospect.
Additionally, I finished “Part of Your World.” While the ending may veer toward being overly sweet, it doesn’t detract from the overall enjoyment of the book. This skillfully crafted romantic comedy portrays endearing characters and fulfills readers’ expectations. The plot revolves around a wealthy urban woman who falls in love with a small-town man, delivering a light feel-good read.
