Yesterday, I enjoyed experimenting with animations in CSS. Today, however, we’re focusing on the importance of web accessibility on websites. This means that not all animations are beneficial, as they may not comply with the WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) conformance levels. There are three levels: Level A, which provides essential support and represents the minimum standard; Level AA, which offers ideal support; and Level AAA, which signifies specialized support that may not always be achievable.
I checked my website, desertkitten.com, for accessibility, and it unfortunately falls short in several areas. The links, in particular, do not comply with WCAG standards. I also need a tool or widget to enlarge the fonts, as I often rely on the Ctrl + function on my keyboard to increase font size when readability becomes an issue.
The girls are currently going through the fridges to dispose of old leftovers and expired items. I plan to check on the progress in a bit. It’s lunchtime now, and I didn’t eat lunch yesterday, so I should make an effort to eat today. I had breakfast this morning, so I’m not overly hungry. Perhaps I’ll prepare some ramen for lunch.
I opted for tamales for lunch instead. The fridges look great. Now, it’s time to get the trash taken out. Kel went to the city today to visit Chris. Tommy is expected to finish work early. Later, I plan to bake biscochitos and chocolate chip cookies. I still need to prepare gluten-free chocolate chip cookies for Alex. Since we are at a high altitude, baking times differ from those in standard recipes. I’ve noticed that I often leave the cookies in the oven for a few minutes longer than the recipe suggests.
Shoot, I almost forgot to post this. I did bake some cookies. Tomorrow I want to make pandesal, Filipino rolls. But now I think we are heading off to bed soon. Good night!
