I’ve been sitting here, staring at this screen, unsure what to write. My mind feels like it’s racing and yet completely empty at the same time. I have thoughts swirling around, but I don’t know how to articulate them on paper.
I’m back to focusing on JavaScript in my coding studies. I’ve spent hours reviewing the material provided to me and practicing JavaScript on CodePen. What I appreciate about CodePen is that I can see the results of my work in real-time.
Kel lost her glasses, and I’ve been searching around the house for most of the day, trying to locate them. She can’t remember where she last set them down.
The weekend was quite relaxing, except for Sunday. Tommy and I started our day with some exercise. After finishing, we prepared to head out, with Tommy planning to drop Kel and me off at a friend’s mom’s house for Bunco while he visited with a friend to watch football. However, we received a call from Chris informing us that the dorm washer had caught fire and all his clothes were destroyed. So, Tommy, Kel, and I picked up Chris and dropped Kel off at our friend’s mom’s house for Bunco. I accompanied Tommy and Chris to help Chris buy new clothes. We first stopped at Costco to pick up a few items, then headed to Kohl’s to shop for clothing. I used my Kohl’s card, which is why I joined them. Chris took a bit longer than expected with his shopping, so after a while, we decided I would go with Tommy to watch football. Our friend and Kel arrived soon afterward with dinner. It turned out to be a long day. But it wasn’t too bad. I’m glad we were able to help Chris. The school is trying to say that the fire was started by some chemical on Chris’s clothes. Which is totally ridiculous to even think about.
Oh, Friday was a good day; Tommy had the day off work, and we went to Costco to drop off my hearing aids. They are going to provide me with a completely new set, while I’m currently using a loaner pair. After our visit to Costco, we headed to the ice rink where Tommy practiced his skating for hockey.
This week looks straightforward. Tuesday is water day, so we need to put the bottles out. On Wednesday, I have therapy, where we will continue my assessment. Tommy and I were discussing recently how I haven’t really talked about Kevin’s passing with my therapist. I mentioned that he was killed by a drunk driver, but I never delved into how that has affected me or how I can be triggered at times. I should definitely bring this up on Wednesday. As for Thursday, Tommy doesn’t have band practice, but he works on Friday, so I need to ensure I have enough supplies for his lunches.
I’m receiving the tax documents in the mail, but I’m uncertain about where to store them since my desk currently lacks any designated storage space. My desk remains functional; it’s easy to move but still somewhat sturdy. Typically, I would allow others to borrow my computer for gaming, but due to the current state of my desk, I’m the only one using it right now.
I don’t know if I’m hungry or just want to munch on something. Maybe I will make myself some popcorn? Hmm… Well, I need to go look for Kel’s glasses. Oh, we are said to be getting snow on Wednesday. 🙂
