Being partial to computers and technology, I still love writing things down, keeping lists and planners the old fashioned way with pen and paper. I also love physical books. I love the feel of the paper, the smell of the pages. There is just something about cozying up on the couch with some tea and a physical book that brings me back.
With that being said, I have come to a conclusion that computer and tech books are best as e-books. There, an actual reason to read a book on a Kindle or iPad.
A few weeks ago I went through our storage unit and came across a bunch of my old computer books. As in many years old. I felt nostalgic as I looked through my old Illustrator book, thinking that I really need to get back into that. The C++, Java, and Mysql books weren’t too old, but still outdated. I am sure that programming and database keep their standards but may still evolve. Plus, there is so much information on the internet these days, how much are these old books still needed? Furthermore, what do I do with these old books? I hate throwing books away. Should I donate an outdated book to the library? Should I even consider throwing them away?
