We are quickly approaching the end of this year. So I thought I would talk about some of my favorite things from this past year. First off, today was a Java day of coding. Tommy and I finished the first season of the anime GATE. I enjoyed it; I’m not sure if they will have a second season or what story they could tell for that season. They ended the first season pretty well. Would GATE be considered an isekai? And isekai means ‘another world,’ which GATE goes between another world and Japan. In some ways, I see this anime as an isekai since it’s about a military squad formed to establish ties between both worlds. At first, I didn’t know if I’d like the anime, but it quickly drew you in. It’s based on a novel series.
Oh, onto some favorite things from this year. Some of these items I already had, and some I had gotten this past year…
1) Doughnut backpack. I love this backpack. It holds my laptop and other things and doesn’t hurt my back! I have a hard time with backpacks because of the strain on my back and shoulders, and with this backpack, I’ve had no problems with that. I like how the material can be cleaned easily. I got my favorite color, dark green.
2) Pond’s moisturizer. I have been using Pond’s brand since I was a kid, and my mom made me have a face routine. I’m not sure why she insisted on me having a face routine at such a young age, but it helped my face. I go between this and their regular moisturizer. I also had their cold cream, yet Alexis has taken that from me to use as a makeup remover. I have run out of this, and I need to buy more.
3) Nivia body cream. My favorite body cream. It works on my dry-as-the-Sahara skin. I have eczema, and I have looked everywhere for something to combat the dryness and flakiness. I also use Eucerin when it is scorched, but I find Eucerin to feel a bit greasy. This is coming from someone who uses vaseline as lotion.
4) Pentel Energel Clena. I have a whole collection of pens, and this one is still my favorite. I like that it comes in different nib sizes.
5) Final Fantasy xiv Final Fantasy 14 is still one of my favorite games. Been playing since 2010, and I have yet to finish Endwalker.
